Fish Eye Casting/ MOTHER

CASTING CALL — SHORT FILM “FISH EYE”

Independent short film shooting in Stockholm.

We are looking for the role of:

MOTHER — female, 30–40 years old

The film follows a family spending a summer day by a lake outside Stockholm. During a simple fishing moment, their child experiences a subtle emotional shift that slowly changes the atmosphere around him.

We are looking for someone with:

- a natural Scandinavian presence
- warm and grounded energy
- believable maternal physicality
- subtle, realistic acting
- comfort with silence and minimal dialogue

No glamour or overly performative acting style.

The character should feel:

- real
- emotionally available
- physically affectionate
- like a believable mother in everyday life

Previous acting experience is welcome but not required.

The film has a realistic, observational tone inspired by Scandinavian naturalism.

SHOOT DETAILS:

- Shooting in Stockholm area
- Weekend shoot
- 23rd and 24th of May
- Independent production
